Private Lodging Offerings at California Hotels and Resorts

As trip planning begins to ramp up, safety has become travelers’ top priority, shifting the trend from traditional accommodations to those that are designed to provide the utmost privacy and seclusion. Many of California’s hotels offer private villas, casitas and bungalows, allowing travelers to enjoy their vacation without the constant worry of crowds. Below is a selection of hotels that offer these types of secluded rooms, ranging from 5-star luxury resorts to outdoor adventure retreats.

Desert
At the Inn at Death Valley, the 22 new casitas surrounded by a palm tree grove come as a result of a recent multi-million dollar renovation and provide excellent proximity to the nearby national park. In Palm Springs, the Avalon Hotel offers private one or two bedroom bungalows for a secluded retreat reminiscent of Palm Springs’ golden age and La Serena Villas offers bungalows with private outdoor spaces for a romantic, adult’s only retreat. In Borrego Springs, La Casa Del Zorro’s casitas come with private spas and private pools for relaxation after exploring Anza Borrego Desert State Park.

Central Coast
