New 'California 101' web series offers tips for travel throughout the Golden State

Information-rich content shows travellers how to see and do the best things in California ahead of National Plan for Vacation Day

Sacramento, Calif. (2 January 2018) – Dreaming about a holiday but don’t know where to start? A new web series from Visit California, 'California 101', will answer visitors’ most asked questions about California travel with its launch on 2 January.

Kicking off with 35 visually stunning, yet information-rich videos, the series shows travellers how to see and enjoy some of the best destinations and experiences in California – a great planning tool in advance of National Plan for Vacation Day on 30 January.

'California 101 allows travellers to see different trip ideas in video format, and then click through to web content for more details for trip planning,' said Visit California President & CEO Caroline Beteta. 'With so much to see and do in California, this series will serve as a great starting point that is as inspirational as it is educational.'

Housed on Visit California’s Dream365TV network rel="noopener noreferrer" and also viewable on YouTube, the videos are categorised into five themes: national parks, road trips, resorts, beaches and '5 amazing things to do in…' The series covers experiences across the state including: Beverly Hills: 5 amazing things, Gold Country road trip and Death Valley National Park.

California 101 is an SEO data-driven content programme that delivers informative ‘how-to’ content that answers the most frequently asked questions about California travel. The combination of beautiful, compelling and fast-paced videos with insightful articles full of useful information and links, is designed to intersect with consumers searching for California information and draw them into the Visit California content ecosystem. Once there, they will be educated and inspired, and have the necessary tools to move further along in the booking process. rel="noopener noreferrer"
